Description

Salem is a wonderful walking city, best seen on foot. One of the oldest cities in America founded in 1626, our history is rich and varied. We are best known for the tragic Witch Hysteria of 1692 when 19 innocent victims were found guilty of witchcraft and hanged, and one man was tortured to death without a trial. Salem also has sites related to the Revolutionary War, the Golden Age of Sail, and filming locations from the movie Hocus Pocus. Take your time exploring our beautiful city at your own pace. See it all at once, over a few days, or chose locations that meet your interest and time restraints.
